Dear VPD parents and dancers,
Welcome to our busiest 3 months of the dance season, March, April and May! We ask that you please read this newsletter in full to understand everything happening at the studio this month.
Congratulations to all dancers who completed their RAD Ballet Exams! We are so proud of all your hard work that has led to this achievement.
FACES AWARDS NOMINATION 2025:
We are honoured to announce we have been nominated for the third year in a row for Ottawa’s Best Dance School! As many of you know we did win this category for 2024 thanks to your support. We also have many of our wonderful dancers and faculty up for awards as well. Please vote for VPD and the VPD team once per day in the following categories! You can vote until March 14th.
Under Music & Art:
Best Dance School: Vanessa Plettell Dance
Best Choreographer: Vanessa Plettell-Chevrier, Casandra Bigras, Allie Fournier
Best Dance Instructor: Casandra Bigras, Allie Fournier
Best Dancer: Cassandra Lafleur,Kyla Tunney
Under Business Professionals: Best Administrator: Allie Fournier
MARCH BREAK:
There will be no classes from Sunday March 9th – Sunday March 16th 2025. Classes will resume as usual on Monday March 17th 2025. Competitive dancers, check your email for details about optional rehearsals.
COMPETITION SHOWCASE:
Our competitive team will be debuting their solos, duets and trios on Sunday March 23rd, 2025 at 2pm. Tickets will be available for sale at www.showpass.com/beyond-the-curtain-competition-showcase/ please feel free to bring your dancer and come support our competitive team!
GENERAL REMINDERS:
- – Please remember to send your dancers with a labeled water bottle.
- – Check our lost and found! We have collected many items over the past
few months and if not claimed, the items will be donated.
