FACES AWARDS NOMINATION 2024:
We are honoured to announce we have been nominated for the second year in a row for Ottawa’s Best Dance School! As many of you know we did win this category for 2023 thanks to your support. We also have many of our wonderful dancers and faculty up for awards as well. Please vote for VPD and the VPD team once per day in the following categories!
Under Music & Art:
- Best Dance School: Vanessa Plettell Dance
- Best Choreographer: Vanessa Plettell-Chevrier, Kendra Brulé, Allie Fournier
- Best Dance Instructor: Casandra Bigras, Allie Fournier
- Best Dancer: Kyla Tunney
Valentine’s Day:
All classes and rehearsals WILL be running as usual on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024.
Valentine’s Day Bake Sale:
We will be holding a Valentine’s Day bake sale on Saturday, February 17th, 2024. Please bring in a baked good and some cash to help support the studio!
Family Day:
All classes and rehearsals WILL be running as usual on Family Day; Monday, February 19th, 2024. Please inform the office if your child will be absent.
RAD Mock Exams:
The RAD mock exams will be held on Sunday, February 18th and Sunday, February 25th, 2024. The schedule has already been sent out for these mock exam dates. Please contact the office if you have any questions or concerns.
RAD Ballet Exams:
The RAD Ballet exam days will be on Tuesday, February 27th and Wednesday, February 28th. Please completely save these dates as your child will have to take time off school to attend their examination. A detailed schedule will follow soon.
Dance Among the Stars – Competition Showcase:
Our competitive team will be debuting their solos, duets and trios on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024 at 2pm. Tickets will be available for sale at artscourt.ca. Please feel free to bring your dancer and come support our competitive team!
General Reminders:
- Please remember to send your dancers with a labeled water bottle.
- Please check our lost and found! We have collected many items over the past few months and if not claimed, the items will be donated.
